This evening, we held a grand party for my classmate Wang Wei’s 18th birthday. Before that, we bought a birthday cake and some other things, and decorated his room with flowers and colorful balloons.
At about 7 p.m. the party started. One of my friends began to light the 18 candles on the cake for Wang Wei. All of us stood up and sang the song “Happy Birthday to You” for him. The song over, Wang Wei blew out the burning candles and made a wish. Then we enjoyed a big meal served by his mother.
